What Is RedTouch Pro Laser?

RedTouch Pro, often searched for as the RedTouch laser, is a skin rejuvenation laser developed by the Italian medical device manufacturer DEKA. It uses red light at a wavelength of 675 nanometers, which is absorbed by collagen fibers, the support structure of the skin. This is why RedTouch Pro is often called a collagen laser.

Many conventional fractional lasers target water in the skin and can cause peeling and crusting on the surface. RedTouch Pro instead directs its energy into the dermis, the deeper layer where collagen sits, while a cooling system in the handpiece protects the surface.

The laser creates tiny, separate points of heat in the dermis. This controlled heat helps loosened collagen fibers tighten and prompts cells called fibroblasts to produce new collagen. Over time, the skin may look firmer, smoother and more radiant.

Because it does not peel the skin, downtime is short and most people go back to their day straight after treatment. It suits people who notice early laxity, fine lines, uneven tone or dullness but cannot set aside time to recover. It can be used to slow early signs of aging or as part of a wider plan for more noticeable laxity; suitability is assessed at your consultation.

What Does RedTouch Pro Treat?

RedTouch Pro is used for concerns that affect both skin quality and firmness:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines: Collagen renewal softens lines on the forehead, cheeks and around the mouth.
  • Skin laxity: It helps skin on the face, neck and under the chin look firmer.
  • Pigmentation and uneven tone: Because 675 nm is also absorbed by melanin, it may lighten sun spots and color irregularities. Other options are on our skin spot treatments page.
  • Acne scars and other scars: It supports remodeling of the tissue beneath scars. Deeper acne scars are treated as part of an acne and scar treatment plan.
  • Enlarged pores and dull skin: Improved texture gives a smoother, brighter look.

It can be used on the full face, around the eyes, and on the neck, décolletage and backs of the hands. If facial redness and visible small vessels are your main concern, a separate spider vein treatment may be planned.

How Is RedTouch Pro Treatment Done?

At our clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, your skin is examined first. The degree of laxity, pigmentation and depth of wrinkles are assessed, and the energy level and scanning settings are chosen for you.

  1. The area is cleansed of makeup and oil.
  2. Thanks to the cooling system, most people do not need numbing cream; a light anesthetic cream may be applied for sensitive skin.
  3. The laser handpiece is placed on the skin and the planned areas are scanned. Each pulse brings a brief feeling of warmth and tingling.
  4. A soothing cream and sunscreen are applied at the end.

A full-face session takes about 15–25 minutes, and the skin usually looks slightly pink and fresh afterward.

Because collagen renewal takes time, RedTouch Pro is usually planned as a course of sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart, giving the skin time to build new collagen between them. One or two maintenance sessions a year may be recommended afterward. It can also be combined with mesotherapy or youth and collagen injections to support hydration and repair.

RedTouch Pro vs Golden Needle (RF Microneedling)

Both treatments stimulate your skin’s own collagen, but they use different types of energy:

  • RedTouch Pro: Works with laser light and no needles, selectively targeting collagen fibers. Sessions are short and recovery is usually limited to a few hours.
  • Golden Needle: Delivers radiofrequency energy into the dermis through microneedles. It may have a more intensive effect on deep acne scars and enlarged pores, with recovery of 1–2 days.

The right choice depends on your skin’s needs, the depth of the problem and how much recovery time you can allow. Some plans use both methods in separate sessions.

RedTouch Pro Side Effects and Aftercare

Because RedTouch Pro does not peel the top layer of skin, side effects are usually mild and short-lived. Pinkness, slight redness and warmth right after treatment typically fade within a few hours. Sensitive skin may stay a little puffy until the next day.

Rarely, longer-lasting redness or temporary color change may occur. Settings matched to your skin type and careful aftercare help reduce this risk:

  • Avoid hot water on the face and makeup for the first 24 hours.
  • Stay away from saunas, steam rooms and tanning beds for a few days.
  • Use SPF 50+ sunscreen every day. Treatment can also be done in summer, since it does not peel the skin, as long as you avoid direct sun.
  • Support your skin with the moisturizer your doctor recommends.

Popular Questions

How many RedTouch Pro sessions do I need?

Usually 3–4 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart. The exact number depends on your skin and the concern being treated, and it is decided at your consultation.

Many people notice a fresher, brighter look shortly after the first session. Because new collagen takes time to form, the main result develops gradually and usually becomes clearer 3–6 months after the course is complete.

It is generally comfortable. Thanks to the cooling system, most people feel only mild warmth and tingling, and a numbing cream can be used for sensitive skin.

No. Classic laser resurfacing targets water in the skin and works on the surface, which can lead to peeling and crusting. RedTouch Pro is a form of laser skin rejuvenation that directs its energy to collagen in the deeper dermis while the cooling system protects the surface, so the skin does not peel and recovery is usually limited to a few hours.

It is not performed during pregnancy, when there is an active infection or open wound in the treatment area, or while taking medication that increases sensitivity to light. Your suitability is assessed at your consultation.
